A wonderful early-1900s antique oil/kerosene parlor heater that makes a striking decorative statement. The maker's badge reads "The S. & T. Div — Reliable — 1905 — Cleveland–Chicago."
Beautiful ornate cast iron throughout — the domed, pierced top crown and the decorative scrolled base with cabriole feet are full of period character. The cylindrical sheet-steel body carries a deep, aged patina with surface rust and wear consistent with its age (120+ years old), which only adds to its antique charm. A genuine conversation piece.
